good morning everyone.

Welcome! Haere mai! Bonjour! Howdy! Hola! Ahoy! Bula! Guten tag! Ciao! Breviet! Yo.

And here we are folks! Welcome to the Fish Tank blog, managed by the Windsor Park young adults group but open to the whole church. I want to use this place to bring our discussions to a more centralised place and basically tidy things up a bit so we don't clutter facebook as much.

We don't have time to tackle big topics with a whole lot of rigor on Sundays, and it can be hard to know how to direct conversations in small groups some times, so hopefully you'll find this useful to push your thinking a bit and to engage with others in the community.

I would also love to get lots of contributors to this blog from across the church community. There's not a heck of a lot for writers to contribute within church life sometimes, so hit me up if this sounds like something you'd be into.

Finally, no question is stupid and no topic is out of bounds. God is big enough to handle every tension we face in this life and it's my conviction that the gospel is big enough to be able to engage with ideas at every level.

With that, I'll leave you with a great quote from Gregory the Great that I hope will set the tone for this little piece of net space:

"Scripture is like a river again, broad and deep, shallow enough here for the lamb to go wading, but deep enough there for the elephant to swim."
